Next Event Speaker and Topic: Please mark your calendars for our next private dinner event scheduled for Wednesday, May 2. For this meeting, we will be joined by Katherine Brown, Ph.D. who will be speaking to us about “International Relations and Global Media.”
Dr. Brown is the President and CEO of Global Ties U.S., and brings a diverse array of experience to her role. She has experience both inside government (assistant to White House national security adviser) and outside government (Public Policy Manager at Facebook, Inc.). She uses this background to help Global Ties U.S. in its partnerships with public, nonprofit, and corporate partners to advance international exchange. RSVP Deadline and Instructions: So that we can give an accurate headcount to our caterers, please RSVP no later than 12:00 noon on Monday, April 30, by contacting Amanda Fleming by email at RSVPOACFR@gmail.com or by telephone at 407.823.0688. Please note that, because we must give final head count to our caterer in advance of the meeting, we may not be able to accommodate late-registering participants. So that we can be certain to have an accurate headcount, kindly confirm your RSVP with Amanda even if you elect to pay your dinner fees online.
Location and Time. Please be sure to note the new venue at the offices of GrayRobinson: 301 East Pine Street, Suite 1400, Orlando, FL 32801. The Member Cocktail Reception begins at 6:30 pm and dinner begins at 7:00 pm.
Parking. The parking garage off of East Pine Street has recently gone through an update. With the new system in place, there is an event parking fee of $7. Please take a ticket when you pull into the garage and bring that ticket with you along with your $7 payment to check-in on the 14th floor. Please note we can only accept cash or checks for the parking payment. Checks should be made out to GrayRobinson, P.A.
Payments for Dinner Fees. Our dinner fee for this event is $55.00 for all members and guests. We now have the capability to accept payments on-line via Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express or by PayPal by clicking on the Pay Dues/Fees tab. In the alternative, if you are paying by check, please forward your check for the dinner fee to the attention of the Global Connections Foundation at Global Connections Foundation, P.O. Box 361, Orlando, FL 32802, U.S.A. Checks should be made payable to “GLOBAL CONNECTIONS FOUNDATION” with “OACFR” noted in the memo line. Please pay special attention when writing out checks and addresses, as anything other than described will not be valid. Because our caterer charges our Committee for each dinner reserved with our final head count, we must bill you for your reservation even if you or your guest is unable to attend.
Vegetarian Entrée Alternative upon Request. A vegetarian entrée will be available upon request made at the time of your RSVP. Kindly let us know your request in advance of the event, as we may not be able to accommodate last-minute notices of special requests.
Guest Policy. Individuals who are considering applying for membership or other guests of our Members may be invited once to our meetings to experience our events before being considered for membership. We ask each Host Member to provide his or her guest with a Nomination Form, available on our Committee website and at event check-in.
